Ichiro Community Projection Results

May this finally be the year that I stop missing Mike Cameron.

AB: 684
H: 227
2B: 25
3B: 9
HR: 11
BB: 49
HBP: 5
K: 68
BA: .330 (.020)
OBP: .379 (.019)
SLG: .438 (.028)
IsoPa: .049 (.010)
IsoPo: .108 (.014)

(Note: "IsoPa" refers to "Isolated Patience", or OBP - BA, while "IsoPo" refers to "Isolated Power, or SLG - BA. For the rate stats, the propagated error is listed in parentheses. Thanks a million to reader Bryan McCulloch for helping out with the calculations.)

Now to add a little color:

All I'll say is that hopefully the community starts churning out pretty accurate year-to-year Ichiro forecasts, because PECOTA sure as hell doesn't.

Guillen kicks off tomorrow morning as we wrap up the starting position players. After that comes our funny joke of a DH and our godawful joke of a bench. There's a Nick-Swardson-is-way-better-than-Carlos-Mencia bit in here somewhere, but I don't care enough to find it.

I'd say everything looks fine but the SLG might
be a little high.  I guess its not unrealistic though.

Quick question about the projections.  Why did you chose not to predict SB and CS?  I know you don't need it for the rates but you don't need K either.

Because I'm pretty sure
tangotiger's runs created modeler doesn't include SB/CS. Technically the categories were Dave's idea, though, so you'd have to ask him.

Wait a minute
You don't have to miss Mike Cameron if you live in San Diego, do you?  I mean, yeah, sure, he's seeing another team, but at least it's not a long-distance relationship any more, y'know?

Shucks I was away from computers a few days
and a little late but I added my predictions for my favorite player also.
.387 .433 (.491)
With a (hopefully) more potent offense behind him, I think Ichiro will have a great year.

2004-type hitting machine and a better April got me these numbers.

Don't worry about being late.
Your numbers will still be included.

Thanks Jeff!
I was worried I blew the chance to predict my fav player.
